Mission
Statement
The Educational Technology Training Centers
work collaboratively to provide professional
learning, consulting, and service for
Georgia educators to promote the appropriate
use of technology in support of teaching,
learning, and leadership. |

VSU's ETTC is a resource
for Georgia Educators.
Some of the services provided
are:
Online
Training
Provides support of the Georgia Performance Standards rollout and
other GaDOE initiatives.
Professional Learning
Courses
We offer a variety of
technology-enriched courses for PreK-16 Administrators,
Teachers, ParaPros, and Technical Staff.
In
addition,
specialized classes and trainings are offered as requested.
Data Analysis
Data
analysis training
offers school leaders the opportunity to learn the effective
use
of test score data to improve student achievement. The Georgia Department
of
Education Data Utilization Guide is
utilized as the basis for the ETTC training and support.
Online
Assessment System (OAS)
The OAS offers schools the opportunity to create benchmark assessments and
practice tests for the
CRCT
and the
GHSGT.
Each ETTC offers training and support for this project.
SAT
Online Preparation
Free for use by Georgia
high school students, this electronic course holds
promise
for raising SAT scores. Training and support for
teachers and students are provided.
Grants
VSU ETTC supports various grants by providing consultative services
for applying for the grants, providing technical services, and
instructional services.
The ETTC is partnering with systems that have been awarded Title IID eMath
and Wireless grants to
provide GPS training and support, model lessons, unit
development, as well as
technical support.
