Mission Statement

The Educational Technology Training Centers work collaboratively to provide professional learning, consulting, and service for Georgia educators to promote the appropriate use of technology in support of teaching, learning, and leadership.

VSU's ETTC is a resource for Georgia Educators.

Some of the services provided are:

Online Training
Provides support of the Georgia Performance Standards rollout and other GaDOE initiatives.

Professional Learning
  Courses

We offer a variety of technology-enriched courses for PreK-16 Administrators,
Teachers, ParaPros, and  Technical Staff.
In addition, specialized classes and trainings are offered as requested.

Data Analysis
Data analysis training offers school leaders the opportunity to learn the effective
use of test score data to improve student achievement. The Georgia Department of Education Data Utilization Guide is utilized as the basis for the ETTC training and support.

Online Assessment System (OAS)
The OAS offers schools the opportunity to create benchmark assessments and
practice tests for the
CRCT and the GHSGT.  Each ETTC offers training and support for this project.

SAT Online Preparation
Free for use by Georgia high school students, this electronic course holds promise for raising SAT scores. Training and support for teachers and students are provided.

Grants
VSU ETTC supports various grants by providing consultative services for applying for the grants, providing technical services, and instructional services.
The ETTC is partnering with systems that have been awarded Title IID eMath and Wireless grants to provide GPS training and support, model lessons, unit development, as well as technical support.
