Our mission is to work
collaboratively to provide professional learning,
consulting, and service for Georgia educators to
promote the appropriate use of technology in support
of teaching, learning, and leadership. As we collaborate with our service area
of 19 school systems within the South Georgia area,
we are exposed to exemplary and innovative ways
educators are using technology. Is your school
successfully embedding technology into instruction
in ways that are... |

curriculum based standards?

If so, we would like to recognize your
school for using innovative technologies and "Spotlight"
their success!
For consideration, complete the
Spotlight Application.
The Spotlight program, which is administered by each of the
Educational Technology Centers across the state,
strives to:
-
Recognize
outstanding examples of the appropriate use of
technology in the Georgia K-12 schools that have
been shown to increase student involvement and
achievement.
-
Provide
information on exemplary programs so they can be
replicated at other schools.
-
Stimulate the
development of new and improved programs that
effectively use technology to improve student
achievement.
-
Focus the
attention of legislators on successful programs so
they can be further encouraged and appropriately
funded.

Each
school spotlighted will be showcased on the VSU ETC Web
site and presented with the Spotlight on Georgia
Technology Innovation Certificate.
The VSU
ETC will review the applications to determine the recipient
of this award. On-site visits by the ETC staff will be
requested. The school selected must provide a URL that links
to their innovative program. Annually, one Spotlight School
will be chosen by the VSU ETC to represent their district
on Capitol
Tech Day. On this day, the selected team will
share their successful program with Georgia legislators at
the Georgia State Capitol in Atlanta, Georgia. |
